The short version
- Try Board free for 14 days. Then it’s $29, once, for up to 3 of your Macs.
- Your data is yours and stays on your Mac. Keep a backup, as with anything important.
- Board is made with care by one person, and comes without formal guarantees.
Who these terms are with
These terms are between you and Yahia Salem (“we”, “us”), who makes Board. By installing or using Board you agree to them.
The trial
Board is free to try for 14 days from the first time it runs, with every feature. No card is needed. After the trial, without a license, Board becomes read-only: everything stays visible and searchable, and nothing is deleted or hidden. Buying a license lets you edit again.
Buying a license
A license costs $29 as a one-time purchase. It’s sold by Lemon Squeezy, our merchant of record, who processes the payment, charges any sales tax or VAT that applies where you live, and sends your receipt and license key. Their buyer terms also apply to the purchase.
What the license lets you do
- Use Board on up to 3 Macs that you own or use yourself, for personal or work use. You can move a license between Macs by deactivating one in Settings ▸ License.
- Get every 1.x update at no extra cost. A future major version (2.0 and later) may be a paid upgrade; the version you bought keeps working.
Please don’t share or resell your license key, or try to get around the trial or licensing. Don’t reverse-engineer Board, except where the law allows it regardless.
Checking your license
Board checks your license with Lemon Squeezy when you activate it and about once a week after that. If you’re offline, a licensed copy keeps working for 30 days after its last successful check.
Your data
What you put into Board is yours. It’s stored on your Mac, not by us, so please keep your own backups (Time Machine works). See the privacy policy for what Board sends and where.
Other services
Board can show information from services you connect, such as your calendars, Gmail, ClickUp, Plane and GitHub, and the weather from Open-Meteo. Your use of those services is under their own terms, and we can’t promise they’ll always be available or unchanged. Board isn’t affiliated with or endorsed by them.
Prayer times are calculated on your Mac with standard methods. They can differ slightly from your local mosque or authority, so please check against the timetable you follow.
No warranty
We work hard to make Board reliable, but it’s provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. We’re not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost data or missed meetings, and our total liability is limited to what you paid for Board. Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer law that can’t be waived.
Refunds

Changes and ending
We may update these terms; the date at the top says when. If you break them, your license may end. These terms are governed by the laws of [CONFIRM: country], without taking away the protection of the consumer laws where you live.
